The Skoura palm grove covers 25 km². Countless date palms and lush gardens of olive, almond and pomegranate trees cover the area. It’s an impressive profusion of vegetation typical of southern oases.
In the middle of the palm grove, marvellous earthen fortresses still retain their former beauty. Each has its own story to tell, recalling the way of life of the local community. The most famous of these is the Amridil kasbah, built in the 17th century. Others are equally important, such as the Ait Aabbou and Ben Moro kasbahs.
